Common Questions Clients Ask Before Booking A Harpist

  • Logistics: Compared to other live music options, a solo harpist takes up very little space—about 2 × 2 metres—while still delivering a full, rich sound. The harpist is responsible for the transport of her own harp, which means fewer moving parts for the client.  

    Cost: Hiring a harpist can be surprisingly economical. It requires only one musician and no additional instrument rental (e.g., piano), keeping costs lower while still providing an elegant, full sound.

    Look and sound: Live harp music adds a sense of elegance to any event. The visual presence of the harp leaves a lasting impression, and its distinctive sound is difficult to replicate, even with music streaming. A live harpist can also adjust the mood of the music to suit the moment.

  • I usually only play from my repertoire, but I’m happy to consider song requests made several months in advance if they are suitable for the harp.

  • The majority of my regular performances are at The Raffles Hotel for Afternoon Tea, with occasional performances at The Fullerton Hotel. I appear at these venues as a substitute harpist, so performance dates are not fixed. I am happy to share my performance dates upon enquiry.
